Soapure – our products

Soapure is pouring the fun back into bathtime, one wash at a time. More than just soap, handmade with love, it is the very real passion of Kiwi soapmakers Colleen and Amy Woodcock.

Colleen produced the first suds in 2002, first pedalling them at neighbourhood markets. Now the journey continues on a busier road. Today she shares the passion with her daughter Amy as they grow and nourish their business.

ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Soapure produces two ranges of soaps – Rubber Bubbles and Sea Bubbles, both for the gift market, with children as the target audience. Respectively, each soap contains either a colourful eraser or a small plastic sea animal model (in a capsule).

Each soap, depending on the shape of the soap and the size of the toy, holds between 90 grams and 140 grams of pure vegetable based glycerine soap.

Glycerine soaps are often considered one of the most indulgent and moisturising soaps available. Their unique properties allow them to be effective at moisturising all skin types, young and old. The benefits of glycerine soap can lead to a healthy and well-moisturised skin.

RUBBER BUBBLES
Our Rubber Bubbles product contains a collectable eraser that is unaffected by being embedded in the glycerine soap. Children will enjoy using the soap, especially the anticipation as the soap diminishes in size, and the eraser is fully revealed.

SEA BUBBLES
Our Sea Bubbles soap contains a toy in a bubble. A transparent capsule (the bubble) containing a fun Bath Pet (sea creature) is carefully embedded into each soap in this range. Once released, the capsule pulls apart easily to release the Bath Pet.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Soapure soaps have been carefully packaged in a way that will maintain the soap in a perfect condition. When left out in a wet humid conditions Glycerin soap will draw in moisture from the air and the soap will develop beads of moisture called soap sweat. Our advice is to keep your unwrapped soap in a dry environment or an air tight container to stop any soap sweating that may occur. On a closing note, soap sweat does not affect any of the soap’s abilities. Soap sweat happens naturally in humid environments that the soap is in. Although using the preventative measures listed above will help to reduce the amount of soap sweat that occurs on your soap, soap sweat may still appear. The humectant agents in your soap are just doing their job, collecting moisture from the air, just as it will to moisturise your skin.

MOSTURISING
Glycerine is considered a humectant, which means that it attracts moisture. Because of this quality, glycerine soaps draw moisture to the skin and holds it there. As a result, it provides constant hydration to your skin. These unique moisturising properties allow for your skin to remain hydrated for several hours after use. Using glycerine soap in your daily routine can aide in softer, more supple and hydrated skin.

HEALTHY SKIN

Moisturised skin is healthy skin! By keeping your skin hydrated, you are creating the foundation of healthy skin, the largest organ in your body. Glycerine soap may help to diminish or eliminate acne when used as a face wash.

SENSITIVE SKIN
Because glycerine soaps are completely natural, they are excellent choices for people with sensitive skin. Glycerine soaps can be used on all types of skin, including extremely sensitive or hypoallergenic skin. You can use glycerine soap with a variety of skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema. Unlike regular soaps, glycerine soaps will typically not irritate the skin or cause an adverse reaction. If you do have sensitive skin, test it before using it.
